It's been quit warm outide and with that we had to bring out the kiddie pool. Ashley is a huge fan of "swimming", it can keep her busy for hours! And Katelyn likes it too, although it's very slippery so we have to watch them like hawks!
Also, our neighbors invited us to swim in their big pool. It was Katelyn's first time swimming. We put her in a floating ring that has leg holes so that she can sit in the water by herself (under strict supervision of course). She loved it so much even though the water wasn't that warm. She kept treading water with her legs and even floated all the way across the pool! And squeeling for joy :) This monkey is not afraid of anything! (Except for when someone sneezes, she doesn't like that)
Ashley was a little scared to get in. She had a life jacket on her, but even with that as we found out it's not safe. She got into the jaccuzzi and tipped forward with her head down in the water.. not realizing that she has to look up. It made her really scared so she got out and didn't want to go back in :( I hope she can get over her fear, sometimes she can be a scarty cat!
Ashley is signed up for swimming lessons later in the summer, so hopefully she'll get better at this swimming thing so that we don't have to be so nervious when she's by the pool.
