Spring is in the Air!

Yesterday was a gorgeous day outside, so we took the kids to Holmdel Park to check out all of the trees that are in bloom. It was very pretty :) Ashley and Katelyn got to run around a bit, and then we went to get take out at our favorite fish place, the Keyport Fishery. The kids had late lunch, so they weren’t terribly hungry. We decided to let them stay in the car and watch the movie Tangled, while we sat on the boards overlooking the inlet in front of our open trunk. It was an awesome fish sandwich, as always, with a really nice view and no wining! Here’s a picture of the seagulls on posts that stalk all of the people with take out from the Fishery, waiting to snatch the unfinished French fries.

After a fish sandwich, we stopped by Dairy Queen to get some ice cream. Ashley loves strawberry ice cream. I was going to share a Vanilla Soft Serve with Katelyn, but she wanted her own and didn't want to share with me :( there goes that idea.. I guess now we’ll be ordering 4 separate ice creams when we go out!

On the drive home the sun was starting to set, and the sky was very pretty, so we swung by Dorbrook Park for a better view.

We really didn’t want this day to end, so we played with the kids outside until after 8pm and watched a giant full moon rise up from behind the trees. Looking forward to more warm, happy days like this :)
